Anna Caitlin is having to patiently await her birthday party on March 21, so in the meantime, we wanted to do something fun on her birthday weekend. We took a trip to American Girl for some shopping and dinner. Anna Caitlin was so excited that she ran straight to the store. We told her we would give her her birthday money and she could pick out her own presents. That was very exciting for a five year old little girl!! Every time she saw a new outfit or accessory, she would pick it up and say "I want this one...can I have this one?" We had to keep her reigned in to our price range. She finally decided on having Samantha's ears pierced, a cheerleading outfit for Samantha, and two pair of matching pj's; one for Samantha, one for Anna Caitlin.
Afterward, we had dinner at the American Girl Bistro. We made the reservations about a month out. They were already completely booked for lunch, so we did dinner instead. Anna Caitlin had a great time with her doll sitting next to her. And the food was pretty good too. Jonathan is so glad that I am getting Anna Caitlin in the tradition of celebrating her "birth month" as we like to call January for my birthday!!
