Drew decided that he wanted to eat at La Parilla on his actual birthday with his best buds Tate and Chappy, and sweet Bella whose birthday is the day after his. He LOVES to eat cheese dip and got to wear the birthday sombrero!!
I can't believe that Drew is FIVE years old! He is such a sweet boy with a heart of gold!! He loves to look out for his "little buddy" Joshua, and gives the best hugs in the whole world. This has been a big year for our Drewsey. He is finishing up his very last year at Ms. Carol's house (tears) and moving on to Kindergarten. He has played fall ball and spring ball at Oregon Park, but really likes to just roll around and play in the dirt with Chappy! Drew has learned how to swim by himself and is doing a great job learning how to read! His very best friends are Tate, Chappy, and Mariella and he absolutely loves going to Ms. Carol's house. Some of his favorite things are:
- Super Mario Brothers
- Playing on the Wii and DS
- Watching superheroes on TV
- Playing with his brother and sister
- Riding his motorized truck outside
- Running around the cul de sac
- Cheese dip!!
- Suckers
- His blankeys
- Cuddling with mommy
This year, with our crazy, hectic schedule, we decided to do the boys' birthday parties together. For Drew, we rented a Rolling Video Game Truck which was AWESOME!! It was definitely one of the most fun parties that we have done. All of the big kids stayed in the truck the whole time playing. Drew played Mario for most of the time with the crew from Carol's house. Anna Caitlin rocked out on Just Dance with her friends. So much fun!
For Joshua, we did an Elmo theme and rented a toddler jumpie. The little kids loved it and it was just their size. We also did pin the nose on Elmo, which Joshua LOVED! He wanted to keep the blindfold on and keep trying!
Drew had a yummy Super Mario cake thanks to our favorite cakemaker, Ms. Vivian! And Joshua had a yummy ice cream Elmo cake from Maggie Moo's.
Happy birthday to the birthday boys...
And then...time for PRESENTS!!
Drew wracked up with games for his Wii and his DS. So far, the favorite has been Mario Hoops and Donkey Kong Country. Joshua got all kinds of toys to play with. He got his first tricycle, a water table, a truck, and an Elmo chair. And of course his favorite...BALLS!!
