As a parent, Christmas Eve and Christmas morning are two of the highlights of my year. There is something magical about those two days when you have your own children.
As a child, Christmas Eve was as much fun as Christmas Day. I absolutely loved going to my grandparents house for lunch, dinner, and opening gifts. I am so very thankful that my sweet parents have carried on that tradition for my little ones. All of the grandchildren spend the night with my mom the night before Christmas Eve, where they watch a new Christmas movie, pop popcorn, and play with their cousins. They look so forward to it each year.
They can hardly stand the wait throughout the day as they wait to open their gifts. Grammie always knows just what to get them. S0me of the highlights this year were Anna Caitlin's guitar...
Drew's Wii and DS games...
Joshua's cars and trucks...
a Kindle, Cricut, and Granddaddy's tools...
And a very special picture for Grammie...
Headed home, the kiddos were exhausted. But not too tired to put out our reindeer food and cookies for Santa! The big two woke up bright and early to see their gifts, but we had to drag little man out of the bed.
I am pretty sure that Santa spoiled them just a bit this year!!
Anna Caitlin loved her American Girl doll, Rebecca, and her new desk...
Drew loved his Mario and his gumball machine...
And Joshie Bear loved his Elmo drums and trucks...
After a fun morning at home, it was off to Mama Judi and Papa Johnny's house for some family time with the cousins. The kiddos always have a great time playing together over there.
Sweet Raylie and Anna Caitlin...
