We have been counting down until Spring Break since Christmas, and we were all SO ready for some playtime. There is nothing better than 9 days of sleeping in, playing, and relaxing with our family and friends. We started off our Spring Break taking the kiddos up to Dick's Creek for the weekend. Jonathan and I used to camp here with friends before we had kids. It is "primitive" camping (translation: no water, no bathroom!!) That was fine for just the two of us, but not somewhere that we have ventured out with little ones.
The kids absolutely loved it! We took them to the waterfall where we used to "slide" down the rocks. My sweet husband has really grown up I guess...he would not go down the slide because he was afraid that there would be rocks at the bottom :) They loved going being pulled through the current and swimming in the creek. It was such a fun day!
On Monday, we got to swim for the very first time this season! We went over to the Ruddell's pool for a beautiful day of fun in the sun. The kids had a blast swimming with the Ruddells, the Kellys, and the Stricklands. They played in the water, they made water balloons, and they played in the backyard. I love to watch them make such fun memories!!
This is childhood at its very best...
On Tuesday, we went to Acworth Beach with Kade and Rennen. It was our first time there, at it was so much fun. The kids loved swimming in the lake with their floats and playing in the sand.

On Wednesday, we all got together for a cook out and a glow in the dark Easter egg hunt. I found this on Pinterest and it was SO cool! The kids loved hunting the glow eggs in the dark with their flashlights. A very cool spin on hunting eggs!

What an awesome Spring Break! Now we are on the countdown to SUMMERTIME!!
