On Friday, the weatherman predicted that we would be getting between 1-2 inches of snow that afternoon. We all know that their predictions are NEVER right. My sweet babies have never seen more than a mere dusting of snow in their lifetimes (and that is 6 years now). We have really been hoping for a good snow. (They got sleds for Christmas two years ago and have never been able to use them!) So, Thursday night, Anna Caitlin and Drew flushed ice down the toilet, slept with spoons under their pillows, and slept with their pj's inside out (even Joshie participated in this one!). We left school Friday afternoon to snow coming down HARD! We came home, and took naps, and then woke up to several INCHES of snow!! We were SO excited. After Daddy got home, we got out our sleds and played on the hills in the backyard. It was so much fun!
The next morning, the snow was still there (3 1/2 inches!) and the roads had iced over. We got to sled all day and even broke out Grammie's sled with the metal bottom. We played with the neighborhood kids and had a great time. I told the kiddos to enjoy, because they probably will not have this much snow again until they are teenagers!
